HalfMoon is a dream turned reality – It all started during a BBQ cookout in late 2019 when three individuals converged at the right time in the right place. Going all-in, we undertook great financial liability, navigated the complex legal licensing process, and invested countless hours of sweat equity. Through unwavering determination, we overcame countless challenges and persevered.
Cannabis is one of the most fascinating plants on our planet. Although humans have used it liberally for thousands of years, it was federally banned in 1937. After 81 long years of prohibition, the Farm Bill signed in 2018 legalized CBD once again. Since then, every year the plant becomes less stigmatized and closer to full decriminalization.
We believe that stimulating the endocannabinoid system can bring one closer to balance. As avid CBD enthusiasts and connoisseurs, we found it challenging to find high quality flower. We came across many disappointments including stale brown nugs, untrimmed buds with long stems, nasty tasting flower, and even encountered mold and rot from store bought products.
We understood that there was a void in the market for quality indoor CBD, grown in the same high standards as the premium sticky-icky you’d find on the top shelf of a dispensary.
PROCESS
At HalfMoon, we are dedicated students to the science of cultivation. Exploring possibilities through trial and error, to produce the highest quality CBD. We consider plant integrity during every step of our process with clean practices. Our indoor facility is maintained in a pristine condition that minimizes pests, allowing us to cultivate without pesticides. We do things different by never spraying any foreign material directly onto the bud. Controlling the environment to prevent mold, allows us to grow excellent CBD flower that is tasty, skunky, and filled with terpenes! It doesn’t stop there; through careful handling and meticulous practices, we protect the plants integrity during each stage including processing and packaging. HalfMoon gives credence to transparency, clean practices, and consumer safety. We strive for perfection delivering superior products that have been produced to the standards that we imagined on that fateful day when our dream began .
